Green Pinky – A Foray into Gardening

_DSC0003

On a visit to our local library I was pleasantly surprised to find out they have a Seed Library.  Have you ever heard of this?  Its a neat way for novice gardeners such as myself to learn more about growing plants, with workshops to help become more educated around your garden.  The two littles love anything outdoorsy so I thought it would be fun to set up a little area in the yard where they can plant their seeds and see what germinates.  We picked up some (Top photo, starting from top going clockwise) Dragon Kale, Spinach and Roma Tomatoes seeds.

(Also, I love any excuse to bring out the awesome vintage linen napkins we have that usually just sit in our buffet 🙂

And since we will need some plant markers I went foraging online and found the below cute ones – I think we will attempt the DIY ones from Decorators Notebook since its a fast and easy craft – perfect for the kids.
