I’m always on the lookout for different ways to update the colours in the home and I also love ceramics of all kinds, so ginger jars have been a little obsession lately. They can be classic and elegant (see the Williams Sonoma picks), bold (like the La Fuente choice) or modern (emilia ceramics and One Kings Lane). You can display them as is or add a floral arrangement and use them as a centrepiece.
Ginger jars, also known as tibors, have been used throughout history as canisters – to hold ginger, spices, salts and oils. They were also given as gifts to emperors and were also used as urns. Pretty and practical.
